It's Thursday... Is this a Farewell?

So it's Thursday, day 4 of our Gulf Region Trip. We had another full list of the tasks waiting for us when we arrived. It was also pretty awesome that they had listed a congratulations for our beloved Phillies for being the National Championship last night.

So a crew continued to work on the porch installing the post boxes, thanks Alyssa & Ted, working on the soffit around the house and painting the entire first coat of paint with the brushes all around the house.

The roofers finished installing the tin roof today.

Tomorrow is going be a good day but sad at the same time. Tomorrow is our final day working on the house and working with the crew that many of us has come to love. They make us feel like we are just more than a group of volunteers, we are family.

Tonight we had a dinner for the Habitat for Humanity Bay-Waveland chapter as a thank you for allowing us to come here and work with them 5 out of our 6 journeys to the Gulf Coast.

Wendy McDaniel for Habitat, couldn't give us enough thanks and praise for coming down year after year, time after time and helping out.

Did you know that SEI is their biggest corporate sponsor and sends the most corporate volunteers?

It's amazing how much we are actually appreciated for coming all of this way down to Bay St. Louis and helping restore a community that still 4 years later is still in desperate need of assistance to rebuild, not only houses but the community as well.

Tomorrow is going to be a big day and a time to close this chapter of the Gulf Region trip, it's going to be good to wrap up all the projects and yet sad to have it come to an end...
