In partnership with the Habitat for Humanity Bay-Waveland Area, 26 SEI employees and seven other prior volunteers will work on a new build in Waveland, MS to provide much needed help for a community still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Katrina. This blog will be written by SEI employees during their week of volunteerism. Thank you for reading the blog and for your support!

Pictures from Monday

One of our primary jobs - picking things up, carrying them to the end of the driveway, loading them onto a truck and transfering them to a shed. This is just one of the many piles.
Bill Martin and I about 20 feet up in the air on scaffolding. Needless to say, whenever we needed to fill paint or move at all, we were crawling!!

One of our Habitat for Humanity work leaders, Steven, explaining to Jason and Alyssa how to use the saw to cut subflooring.
One of the houses on Grenada Street that we were finishing inside. This including laying down subflooring, touching up walls, painting trim, painting the shed, sanding and varnishing cabinets and installing door handles/locks.
The end of Day 1 and still smiling!
